This post should have been made like more than a week ago when we killed Heroic Warmaster, but Spine progression kept me busy and delayed this post. Warmaster was definitely one of the better fights in Dragon Soul, primarily because it provided the most opportunities to troll your soaking partners and making them solo soak. Enjoyable fight, and it provided a breath of fresh air from the usual HUGE DPS check + tank & spank, herp-derp, that Dragon Soul is infested with.
Spine progression is coming along. Slowly, but surely our raid comp for it is looking better. There are a still a few holes that we would like to not only fill for our Spine progression, but also to finalize our roster.This recruitment push puts a huge emphasis on amazing BURST DPSers, specifically:
Elemental Shaman, Mage, Shadow Priest, Rogue. Also looking for one healer (Resto shaman pref)! Please apply if you think you can bring the pain to Deathwing's Spine! NOTE: All of these are for CORE raid roster positions.
TG finally downed Heroic Ultraxion making us 5/8 Heroic. This kill was way overdue after suffering through some major roster issues with a few core raiders calling it quits after realizing a little too late that hardcore raiding no longer suits them. We had way too many sub 2-1% wipes on this fight. We are going to try extra hard for the final push of this tier to end it at a strong US/World ranking!
I want to mention that we are doing a big recruitment push right now. We aren't only looking for good players, but specifically those that will remain motivated and REALLY want to become the best raiding guild out there. You need to have not only the effort to do well, but the desire as well. This recruitment push puts a huge emphasis on amazing DPSers, specifically:

I’m going to be completely honest with you right now. I’m so rattled. It has finally happened. The combined effort of our raiders has finally paid off. The firelord has been extinguished. This was the World 21st, US 6th 25 man kill. This took way too long and we should have had a kill much earlier than when we actually got it. I’m very pleased with our performance in Firelands and I only hope it continues improving henceforth.
After 480 grueling wipes, Ragnaros melted away before our eyes, causing everyone in the guild to scream in joy while at the same time feel a huge sense of relief. There is no doubt in my mind that Heroic Ragnaros is the most difficult encounter ever introduced in the game. A 15 minute + encounter that essentially requires perfection is quite rough. Let’s look at the fight in a nutshell.
A first phase that put all of our raiders except the healers to sleep after the 5th pull and I’m thoroughly convinced its only purpose it to demotivate people after a long attempt. Then we have a 2nd phase that requires raiders to move in unison while having a strict AoE requirement to eliminate hasty elementals that are anxiously trying to one shot you. After you successfully annihilate the adds it suddenly dawns on you that will you need to “dance with the fire” if you want to survive. This mechanic can be best described as a horrifying experience that makes Heigan’s dance with flame wreath going on at the same time look like kiddy level stuff. So we make it to Phase 3. OMGWTF is this. Everyone told me P2 is the hard part. Now we have the strictest DPS race to ever grace this game (with current gear levels that is) and its making us rethink our entire strat and raid comp. Back to the drawing board we go! Drop down to 3 healers, drop some AoEers and voila! We finally get to see some sexy legs. Oh and we also get to see a phase that made me dread flames and can be summed up as chaotic with a pinch of RNG. We also got to play with some meteors in such a way that would make Indiana Jones jealous. During our adventure with the meteors we executed the most difficult geometry problem of all time: make an equilateral triangle with 7 people on each end point. Anyway, eventually after tutoring every raider in math, and winning the RNG game with breadths, dreadflame and roots, everything clicked and the boss fell over.

FINALLY. We managed to overcome the impossible. TG downed Heroic Baleroc and Heroic Majordomo making us 6/7 Heroic. Baleroc is one of the most tightly tuned encounters Blizzard has ever released. He definitely is the real cockblock of Firelands and makes every encounter of this tier pale in comparison. I don't think we have ever had as many 1% wipes as we had with Baleroc. God damn. I pray Blizzard doesn't nerf this boss. Even though we spent much longer on this than I had originally hoped, I'm still really impressed and proud of all the raiders who were in there for this progression boss. The DPS requirement was out of this world; healing was beyond frustrating; torment management proved to be extremely tricky, and...I guess I just want to say good game guys. We deserve it. I guess Blizzard agrees as well because Heroic Majordomo definitely was a "reward boss" after Baleroc. He was easy, relaxing and we got to laugh at TK for dying millions of times.
