Any suggestions? I was planning on going to MACbooks for mobility sense they seem so perfect for it. What do you guys think of the Macbook and the MacAir?

Also any other good notebooks?

My main priority is weight and pricing.

Ugh... I hate the way lenovo consumer laptops look... I'm a hardcore T series thinkpad( still lenovo, but it's the IBM style) user... but the graphics cards arent really high end.

BTW, anyone looking to get a lenovo laptop / desktop can use my employee discount.

"Is it worth 5 times the price of a netbook? I think it runs at least 5 times as well; but whether it is "worth" that premium really depends on your means and your discount rate!"....this is a quote from the link just posted...I have a Macbook Pro, as I am sure many of you who still play when I did can remember, as I was the butt of many jokes (not in a gay way Decca, I am happily straight)...My gaming experience on the Mac was perfect, minus the fact SOMEONE (Shari I believe) convinced the guild to switch to a different Codex on vent that wasn't compatible with my Mac. I could seamlessly minimize the game at any time, pull up a video, have multiple screens open and never any delay. Something I never could do with my old Alienware. The Mac's App. "Spaces" is also quite useful for this as you can have multiple programs running on different screens at once...

Bottom line though Decca, this is not only a gamers forum, but a TG forum, and with you spending as much time in TG as I did you can't reasonably expect a topic related to anything wont be bashed by at least 50% of the people. Especially one concerning a topic as voodoo as this one in the gamer world.

My 2 cents, as a Mac owner, is I love it but like all electronics it is not perfect, and even if it were considered "perfect" one week, the next week something better will come out. The downside IMO of a Mac are the complaints you always hear; they are expensive (this may or not matter to you), and not fully compatible with all programs, though this can be remedied if you have the bootcamp app, which I do and must say works perfectly from my experience. One issue that I have been dealing with recently is the fact my battery life has dwindled down to a fraction of what it once was, but I am told I can have it replaced for free since I have the Mac protection program thingy.

You know my AIM Decca and as long as you can refrain from hitting on my I'll gladly answer any questions you may have.

I am an idiot, too much adderoll during final week I guess...I just realized your two main concerns are Price and Weight... if price is 50% of the battle then Mac isn't for you because, as mentioned before, they aren't cheap....

Yeah... it's generally a good idea to avoid buying a mac at all costs...

I actually picture Decca only using Macs.

Hey Mandos,
Law School is everything it was cracked up to be, definitely NOT a joke. The best way to describe what I mean by that is in undergrad, I was able to fulfill a full raiding schedule then go out, then go out on non raid nights and find time for my girlfriend and not study/read or anything in between. Going to class was enough for me to understand the material and do well.

Law school is farrr from that, you are by no means the smartest kid in the class no matter how smart you think you are and that is made perfectly clear the day you begin, not only by other students, but your teachers who seem to find it fun belittling you if you haven't read. Going to class is your day job and reading for the next day is your 2nd job... I went from going out 5 nights a week to probably on average 1 and exclusively on weekends. All in all though I think I found something I really enjoy doing and know it will pay off. My description above I would say is best suited to describe 1st semester for a 1L. Because you learn what you can and can't do pretty quickly. For example I have finals next week and I started making full course outlines 3 weeks ago and feel like I am actually behind! 3 weeks in undergrad was an eternity...I really just realized I wrote a whole lot to a question that could have been answered in a sentence or less... which I guess leads into the best advice I could give you,if you are considering any sort of graduate school...get prescribed adderoll, but don't troll your old guilds forums while on it when you should be studying :-P

How have you been? Are you still playing? If so, I see Telion received some sort of Legendary piece, what does that make? I saw Shari on the forums not long ago but listed under a new guild, coincidently it was titled "The Gimped" if I recall, is that some sort of part-timers/Alt guild or he just being as "clever" as always? I see a ton of new people in the guild, last I played was right before the transfer of Mer, Trake, and ...why can't I remember his name, dude who played resto shaman, used to yell in vent, lived in Cali, think went to UCSB...

Kaek. I quit a month or two after you because I had a summer internship that ended up being about a 70-hour-a-week job. Still helped out from time to time when I got home early and they needed some DPS, but that was last summer and my account's been inactive since October or November.

Shari still plays, talk to him on AIM from time to time. Some of the vanilla WoW TG members returned to casual raiding and formed <Gimped>, so I guess he's hanging out with them these days.

Yeah, I'll probably get an MBA at some point, but I'll wait for my company to suggest and pay for it. Your description of undergrad certainly does not jive with my own though. When I was raiding with TG I was never able to make 100% attendance and I only went out one or two nights a week. I'm double-majoring though, and one of those majors is finance, so fairly mathematics heavy and time consuming compared to a liberal arts major (which is what my second degree is). Anyway, don't think I'll be playing any more MMOs till SWTOR.
